Bränd loodi 1950. aastal biokeemik Jeannine Marissali poolt, kui ta avastas,et kuumaveeallikad saab naise ilu heaks tööle panna. Vahetult pärast seda patenteeris ta Lõuna-Prantsusmaa kuumaveeallikates elava planktoni kasutusõiguse kosmeetikatoodetes. Jeannine Marissali jaoks on esmatähtis toodete loomisel pakkuda kõrgekvaliteedilisi tooteid naiste erinevatele nahaprobleemide jaoks nii, et tulemusi ka näha ja tunda oleks. Bränd pakub tooteid nii näo-kui kehahoolduseks ning on ajalukku läinud vedelseebi laadse meigieemaldaja ja rinnakreemi turuletoomisega.
